Partnership - Care Providers

The review of SMART Recovery UK earlier this year led the organisation to propose a closer partnership with care and treatment providers.

This partnership model encourages organisations to promote SMART Recovery either as 'Supporters' or 'Partners'.  Over the next few months we will be promoting this partnership model as one plank of our strategy to grow SMART Recovery.

Our initial work will be with Substance Misuse Treatment providers, though we will be adding a separate page on partnership with DAT / ADPs next week

About the Partnership model.

If you work for a care provider and are interested in working more closely with SMART Recovery, please download and consider this document: 'Guidance for Substance Misuse Treatment providers - what you can do to promote SMART Recovery and why you should do it' (pdf reader required)

If you are still interested at that point, please read this handbook, which contains more detailed information that you will need. Draft Partnership Handbook (pdf reader required)

Although you will need to see the final versions and also the actual agreement wording before formal agreement, these documents should provide enough information to make an 'in principle' decision on the proposals.

We would strongly encourage you to engage with the senior management of your organisation, as the partnership decision would require approval from a senior executive level in most medium to large sized organisations.

If you want to take this a stage further, or to arrange a phone chat please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

We look forward to working with you to promote recovery in the UK!
